According to the leading specialists in the Internet resources industry, The Pew Internet & American Life Project, 42 % of American adults don’t own a desktop computer and 39 % don’t down a laptop. That’s a whole lot of Americans that don’t have access to one of the most important inventions of our lifetime – the Internet.

Computer Access and Education are a Must!

Austin Free-Net serves an estimated 119,000 users annually by freely giving access to state-of-the-art technology and the Internet. We are the premier nonprofit for ensuring digital equality in the Austin area. We offer free access to more than 65 computers including desktop, laptops as well as iPad and Android tablets in more than 26 locations throughout Austin. Our professional staff of Trainers is dedicated to teaching Austin’s adults how to use all of these devices in an easy-to-understand way in locations they already know and trust.
We don’t require registration, documents or payments of any kind to utilize our facilities. We just ask for a willingness to learn and a smile. We have been a stable bridge allowing Austinites to cross the digital divide since 1995.
