The Smithville office of Technology for All Rural Texas and San Antonio is having a ribbon cutting ceremony at 1 p.m. November 15 at 111 Main St., Smithville, Texas. The Smithville Chamber of Commerce will also participate. Everyone is invited to the event, and refreshments are provided. Technology for All’s President and Chief Executive Office Will Reed will be at the ceremony, up from TFA’s headquarters in Houston.
The Rural Texas and San Antonio office of TFA works with more than 35 mostly rural public computer centers in Texas, providing new computer equipment and ongoing training. The non-profit’s service area covers much of the Brazos Valley region, parts of Central and South Texas, the Hill Country, and San Antonio. The Smithville office also offers free Internet access from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
